I wanted to share a quick fulfillment update as we continue moving closer to getting CobraPRESS into your hands.

Today, we’ll be sending out the first 5% of our BackerKit surveys, with the remaining surveys rolling out over the next few days. If you receive yours, please keep an eye on your inbox for an email from BackerKit requesting your shipping information.

Please don’t worry if you’re planning to move in the coming weeks or months. You’ll be able to update your shipping address at any time using the survey link until I officially lock the surveys. I’ll be sure to let everyone know well in advance before that happens.

In the meantime, completing your survey is a great opportunity to select any discounted add-ons you may have missed during the campaign and make sure your shipping information is ready when it’s time to fulfill your rewards.

On the manufacturing side, I’m also happy to report that testing is progressing well. Many of the CobraPRESS production components have now been successfully molded and tested, and we’re approximately halfway through validating all 16 production parts. Everything is looking very promising so far, and I’ll be sharing another update soon with the final retail box design and packaging presentation.

We’re getting closer every week, and it’s incredibly exciting to see CobraPRESS transition from years of development into a finished product that’s almost ready to ship.

🐍 CobraPRESS Production Update — The Production Tools Are Complete!

Dear Amazing CobraPRESS Backers, ✨

I wanted to share another exciting milestone as CobraPRESS continues moving toward production.

I’m pleased to let you know that the production tools have now been completed for the CobraPRESS components and are currently undergoing factory testing.

As you can see in the images below, CobraPRESS is made up of far more individual parts than most people would imagine. In total, the factory has now completed production tooling for seventeen individual components, each designed to work together to create the final product. Frankly, much more complexity and expense than expected! (CalfPRO® only required 5 components) 

The factory is now running the first test shots from these molds to verify that every component meets our specifications before moving into full production. This testing phase allows any small adjustments to be made before manufacturing begins at scale.

Looking back over the past several months, it’s amazing to see how far CobraPRESS has come. What began as sketches and 3D-printed prototypes has now become a complete production-ready product with professionally engineered components, manufacturing tools and retail packaging (Final iteration of the retail box design coming soon!).

Every refinement along the way has had one purpose: creating a tool that delivers deep, precise pressure into stubborn muscle knots with exceptional leverage, while remaining comfortable, balanced, and intuitive to use.... And, I can't wait to show you how to use it, at home on your couch or bed!

We’re getting closer with every update, and I’m excited to share the first molded production parts with you as soon as they’re approved.

🐍 CobraPRESS Production Update — The 55-Day Tooling Phase.

Dear Amazing CobraPRESS Backers, ✨

I wanted to share a quick progress update and give you a better sense of where we are in the production timeline.

As many of you will recall from previous updates, the two biggest challenges in this project were refining the click-release mechanism and ensuring the pyramid heads maintained the right weight, balance, and treatment feel when transitioning from 3D-printed prototypes to injection-molded production parts. Those refinements required several rounds of engineering, prototyping, and testing, which extended the tooling timeline.

Much of the CobraPRESS tooling was completed earlier in the project. The pyramid heads were the final components requiring additional engineering work, which is why they ultimately became the critical path to production.

We are now in what is largely a waiting period while the factory manufactures the production molds for the pyramid heads. This tooling process typically takes around 55 days, as the steel molds must be machined, assembled, polished, and tested before they are ready for manufacturing.

While the tooling process runs its course, we have been focusing our attention on the retail packaging, box design, and printing the "Quick Start Guide" card that will accompany your CobraPRESS. I’m excited to share some previews of those with you in the next update.

Once the tooling is completed, the factory will produce the first molded samples for inspection and approval. From there, we can make any final adjustments if needed before moving into production.

We have come a long way from the original prototypes, and every improvement has been made with one goal in mind: delivering a CobraPRESS that feels balanced, durable, and effective. Most importantly, it is designed to press deeply into stubborn, achy muscle knots with a level of precision and leverage that simply is not possible with your hands alone, making deep self-treatment easier and more effective than ever.

Thank you again for your patience, encouragement, and belief in this invention. While this stage requires some waiting, it also represents one of the final major milestones before production begins.

🐍 CobraPRESS Design Update — Soft Silicone Pyramid Engineering Complete

Dear Amazing CobraPRESS Backers, ✨

I wanted to share another important development update as we continue refining the pyramid treatment heads before production.

The hard pyramid head with the internal honeycomb structure has turned out exceptionally well. It gives us the strength, balance, and deep treatment feel we were aiming for, while still keeping the overall CobraPRESS lightweight and comfortable to use.

However, as we moved into development of the softer silicone pyramid head, we encountered a new challenge.

Unlike the rigid version, a fully solid silicone pyramid became far too heavy once produced at full scale. While the softness felt great, the added weight negatively affected the balance and handling of the tool.

To solve this, we engineered an entirely new internal core structure specifically for the silicone version. This allows the soft pyramid head to maintain its shape and treatment feel without carrying unnecessary mass. In other words, it stays soft where it matters, supportive where it needs to be, and balanced in the hand during use.

This required additional tooling and engineering refinement, but it was the final piece of the puzzle.

The good news is that we are now moving forward with tooling for both pyramid head versions:
• The hard honeycomb performance head
• The softer silicone comfort head

With these designs now finalized, we are preparing for production.

Every adjustment we’ve made throughout this process has been focused on making CobraPRESS feel truly premium in real-world use, not just good in a prototype. Weight distribution, balance, density, comfort, and pressure transfer all matter tremendously when creating a tool designed for deep muscle treatment.

P.S. A quick note regarding shipping addresses and BackerKit surveys:

I have not yet sent out the BackerKit survey forms, so if you have recently moved or your shipping address has changed, no problem at all. I intentionally waited so we can collect the most accurate and up-to-date shipping information possible closer to production and fulfillment.

The surveys will be sent shortly before shipping begins, and we will ship directly to the address you provide at that time.

This should help minimize address errors, forwarding issues, and lost packages during fulfillment.

🐍 CobraPRESS Design Update. — Pyramid Internal Design Breakthrough

Dear Amazing CobraPRESS Backers, ✨

I wanted to share an important update on the pyramid head development, as this has been the primary focus of our recent work.

To achieve the correct feel as an injection molded product, we needed to completely redesign the internal structure of the pyramid head. The goal was very specific: make the head light enough to improve the overall balance of the tool, while still being strong enough to deliver solid, deep pressure during use.

After multiple iterations, we developed an internal honeycomb structure, like the one shown above. This design allows us to precisely control strength, weight, and load transfer. It reduces unnecessary mass while maintaining the structural integrity needed for effective treatment. Often nature already has a solution, so thank you Bees! 🐝

Just as importantly, this structure had to be engineered to work within the constraints of injection molding, which required careful alignment between design intent and manufacturing reality. That process took time, but it was necessary to ensure consistency at scale.

The good news is that this approach is working very well. The current samples are giving us the balance, density, and feel we were aiming for. A heavy pyramid treatment head on the end of your lightweight CobraPRESS would have produced an awkward unbalanced feel. This design improvement will keep it light on the wrist, but still provide deep penetration!

With this now resolved, we are ready to cut the final molds for the pyramid heads and move forward into production.

This design work has put us slightly behind our original schedule, but it ensures that the final product will have the correct weight, balance, and treatment feel, which is ultimately what matters most.
